Health and Education Health and Education: These programs rebuild lives through humanitarian initiatives, with the goal of promoting self-reliance to both individuals and communities. Some of Susila Dharma programs in this area include:
- a medical and social services program to landmine survivors and their families,
- a UNICEF co-sponsored program that supports family and health education,
- preschools, elementary, and high schools in Africa, India, South America, Indonesia and the U.S., including support for teenage parents,
- holistic healthcare to those with critical illnesses, including HIV/AIDs and cancer,
- a unique and innovative program that helps women to be responsible for their families' health through teaching them a combination of low-cost Western, Native, and alternative health practices along with nutritional and psychological training,
- scholarship programs and skills training for indigenous peoples across the globe, and
- programs that offer shelter, food, and education to homeless and impoverished populations.
Through proper healthcare, training, and education, Susila Dharma
initiatives accomplish real-time results that heal and enhance
individual lives and communities, one by one.
